um 1900 verlässt er Irland mit Frau und drei Kindern um als "puddler"
in den Eisenwerken in Old Monkland, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire zu arbeiten.
Im scottish census 1901 lebt er dort mit 4 Kindern John 6, William 4, Robert 2(alle
in Nordirland geboren) und Alexander 7 Monate in Lanarkshire geboren.
Zusammen mit dem Bruder der Ehefrau Robert Ritchie (21 Jahre)
Diese leben auch nach dem census 1911 noch zusammen.

Sarah
When the three brother (Willy, Joe Bobby) and their mother Sarah, who had a breakdown and became incapable of looking after the family - she lost her memory, were taken by Aunt Martha to the farm at Drumacarney there was no bedroom for a girl,
so Sarah (*1917) stayed in Coatbridge where she was adopted by Annie (nee Ritchie) the widow of William's brother John.
Until she was 14yrs Sarah believed that Annie was her mother and called her 'Mam', and believed that Bobbie and Sammy were her brothers.
The farm was managed by the McArthur family who lived elsewhere.
William's younger sister, Margaret Jane, was married to James McArthur so they probably let Martha live in the farmhouse to accommodate her enlarged family. They had six children so it was probably too small for them.

In Erinnerung einer Verwandten - Tante Tilly - hat er 4 Kinder : Nacy, Jean, John, Neal
Nach dem Census 1911 lebt er mit seiner Frau Mary Ann (31) zusammen.

Willy remained in Limavady and married Annie. He also was in the army for a time and also worked as a security policeman at the port.
They had one son Billy, not much is known about him other than he went to England and spent some time in the army there and did wrestling.
He later returned to Limavady.
Willy died 22. 7.1957 from cancer Annie died 22.11.1960
Billy died on 26.12. 2000 of an illness akin to motor neurone disease. His aunt Serena, Annie's sister, looked after him but she was by then elderly and he died in very poor conditions.

When William (Billy) Lee's parents died, he was taken in by relatives. He took their deaths badly, he would often go missing and they would find him sleeping by his parents grave. Later he left for England and ended up homeless living on the streets. Relatives in Ireland found out and went to look for him and brought him back to Limavady, he use to live his mothers sister Serena Reid. He would often be seen running around Limavady, trying to keep fit, he was a wrestler. Never married.
